Milan Polák

Milan Polák is a professor at the Conservatory in Prague and at JAMU in Brno, he is a soloclarinetist of Prague Chamber Orchestra and a member of the international orchestra Solistes Européens Luxembourg.

He studied at the Brno Conservatory in the class of Lubomír Bartoň and then at the Janáček Performing Arts with Valter Vítek. He was starring in the Brno Phiharmonic Orchestra for four years, as well as in the National Theatre in Bratislava. Since 1992 he has been a soloclarinetist of the Prague Chamber Orchestra. He recorded a composition by O. Kukal “Clarinettino“ with the Prague Chamber Orchestra and he premiered a concert for an orchestra by the American composer R. L. Aldridge. As a soloist of the Prague Chamber Orchestra, he performed concerts in Germany, Austria, Spain, Lebanon and Turkey.
