Miroslav Maleček

Local coordinator of the jury.

He graduated from the Prague Conservatory, having studied in the class of J. Janouš, the first clarinettist of the Czech National Theatre, and from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of M. Etlík.

Since 1979, he has been teaching at the Conservatory in Teplice. Apart from his pedagogical profession, he was a jury member at numerous clarinet competitions, and acted as a soloist and chamber music player in the Czech Republic and abroad. With the woodwind trio, he recorded for the Czech Radio and the Czech Television. He educated many laureates of both international and national competitions and many of his graduates hold positions at prestigious orchestras in the Czech Republic. A great number of his students also continued their studies at Academies in the Czech Republic and abroad.
